Becoming a Volunteer Firefighter is a great way to serve your community, learn new skills, and make lasting friendships. The Wyalusing Valley Volunteer Fire Department is always looking for new members to join our team.

If you are interested in becoming a member of our department, we invite you to stop by on our training nights, which are held every Wednesday. These training nights are an excellent opportunity to meet our current members, learn more about the department, and get a feel for what we do. You can also pick up an application and speak with our recruitment team.

Our department also holds monthly meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. During these meetings, we discuss upcoming events, training sessions, and any other business pertaining to the department. This is a great chance to get involved and see what it takes to keep our community safe.

We welcome individuals of all ages, including junior members who can join at age 14. As a junior member, you will have the opportunity to learn the basics of firefighting and assist with various tasks around the fire station. This is a great way to get involved and gain valuable experience.
